About EKD

Welcome to EKD! I just wanted to give everyone a glimpse on how my little company started. I am Emily Kearns Brown. The Kearns comes from my great grandmothers maiden name. I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. The first time i ever made any type of jewelry was when my mom, Lori Brown was diagnosed with breast cancer back in 2013. (She is now cancer free!!!)  We would make pink bracelets and hand them out to the nurses who were taking care of her during treatments. It was a way to keep her mind off of everything. 

This made me fall in love with making jewelry. I started doing trunk shows in college and my online business a few years later. I have had two amazing "business" partners Jenny and Shelby in the past nine years, who continue to make jewelry today on their own. 

I am looking forward to the future of this little company of mine and i appreciate the people who have supported me thus far!!  (big shoutout to my mom and dad)
